Of Methodist releases ‘Bayfront Stn’

Displaying a softer side to his sound, ‘Bayfront Stn’ tells the story of a Christmas heartbreak, in which Of Methodist reminisces about happier romantic times at Singapore’s Bayfront and Marina Bay Sands. While the single bookmarks the ending Of Methodist’s forthcoming album, the artist notes that ‘Bayfront Stn’ also lyrically connects to ‘Sar 21’ (the first track of the album) in its outro: a subway braking to a halt at Bayfront Station, symbolising a narrative that has come full circle.

Within and across the shores of the island-nation, the young Singaporean has been making larger waves with each release ever since his 2015 debut EP, “Pvlgrim”, was hailed by Canadian publication ohestee as a “sparkling debut” and noted by Bandwagon (SG) as being one of the “most promising and intriguing singer-producers”. It’s no exaggeration to say that the hype for his upcoming album is real: ‘Authority’, a prior single, has well over a million digital streams, while the aforementioned ‘Sar 21’ hit the ground at over 100,000 streams and counting.
